The versatile Royal Berkey system is the ideal system for use at home with large families, travel, outdoor activities or during unexpected emergencies.
This powerful system purifies both treated water and untreated raw water from such sources as remote lakes, streams, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best. Perfect for outdoor activities and a must in hostile environments where electricity, water pressure or treated water may not be available.
The Royal Berkey system removes pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and extracts harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, organic solvents, radon 222 and trihalomethanes. It also reduces nitrates, nitrites and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury. This system is so powerful it can remove food coloring from water without removing the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other system can duplicate this performance.
Constructed of highly polished 304 stainless steel, the system comes complete with 4 purification elements and utilizes the latest technological advances. This system has a storage capacity of about 3.25 gallons (12.3 liters) and when in use it stands 23" in height with a diameter of 9.5". The upper chamber nests within the lower chamber for transport and stands only 15 1/4" in height.
Configured with two Black Berkey purification elements the system will purify up to 4 Gallons (15.1 liters) per hour*. This system can be expanded to use four purification elements and is capable of purifying up to 8 Gallons (30.3 liters) per hour*.
Black Berkey Purification Elements
Black Berkey Purification Elements are more powerful than any other gravity filter element currently available. In fact, we tested the Black Berkey purification elements with more than 10,000 times the concentration of pathogens per liter than is required by standard test protocol. This concentration of pathogens is so great that the post filtered water should be expected to contain 100,000 or more pathogens per liter (99.99% reduction - the requirement for pathogenic removal). Incredibly the purification elements removed 100%. Absolutely no pathogens were cultured from the effluent or were able to be detected, even under an electron microscope, setting a new standard in water purification.
Black Berkey purification elements are so powerful, they can remove food coloring from water without removing the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other filtration element can duplicate this performance.
No need for expensive disposable filters. Black Berkey purification elements are re-cleanable. When the flow rate decreases simply brush the Black Berkey purification elements with a ScotchBrite pad under running water, reinstall and your system is again ready to purify water. Each durable and efficient purification element will last for up to 3,000 gallons (6,000 gallons per set of two) and provide years of efficient water purification. What's more, the unique Black Berkey purification elements are self-sterilizing.
The powerful Black Berkey purification elements also remove or reduce pathogenic cysts, parasites, harmful or unwanted chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides, VOCs, detergents, organic solvents, trihalomethanes, cloudiness, silt, sediment, nitrates, nitrites, heavy metals, foul tastes and odors, yet they leave in the healthful and beneficial minerals that your body needs.

Get a Berkey!

We got the Berkey really fast. Set up was easy if you follow the instructions. Make sure to prime the filters. I hope I don't have to run creek water through it, but I might just to see if it works. I will follow up if there are any issues. Stoked I don't have to drink floride water or give floride water to the family. There is enough water in the Royal to serve 2 adults and a dog with water every 2 days. Great!

I was visiting a friend recently who had a Berkey Purification System and I loved the quality of the water. When I came home I researched Berkey and sure enough felt confident that it is the best on the market! I promptly ordered and received in record time! Have to say that after much research and finally having our Berkey we are beyond satisfied with it. We were going to get the Imperial or Crown but after a recommendation and now having been using it the Royal Berkey fits our family of 3 perfectly so that we are not having it sitting full all the time and also not having to continually fill it. So far we fill it up up every day to every other depending on what we are making. Love the taste of the water too! So glad that we decided to invest in one for our family. Also want to say that they have great customer service too!

My husband and I are loving our Berkey. The water tastes fresh and sweet, plus we have the assurance that our water is free of flouride, chlorine and other "nasties" our city adds to the water supply.

I have wanted this for about ten years and finally splurged on it. This water filtration system is amazing, really. It has taken my city water from smelling and tasting like dead fish to being quite palatable. Now it almost tastes like the mountain spring water I had been hauling from a nearby spring. :)

What initially prompted us to look at filtered water systems was the amount of bottled water we were purchasing plus the fact that the water from the kitchen faucet smelled like chlorine at times. The Berkey system has far exceeded our expectations and never knew water could taste so good. Even our son noticed the water was "clear". The coffee tastes better too!

We purchased the berkey to get rid of fluoride in our water but much to our surprise did it turn our average tasting city water into the best drink ever. Who would have thought that plain water can taste that good? Thank you Berkey!
