Product Overview

The Berkey Base is a replacement stand for the Berkey Light.  It can also be used as a stand for the Travel Berkey and Big Berkey, however, we recommend our metal wire stands for the stainless steel systems here. The base eliminates the need to have the system placed at the edge of a table or counter.  With the system raised on the base, it allows a cup to be placed under the spigot.

    Pricey but works

    The base works fine (for about a week now) but It is a bit pricey for a plastic base. Also, I would suggest it be made 1 to 1 1/2 inches taller so a normal size drinking glass would fit under it.

    With this base it is no longer necessary to position my Travel Berkey near the edge of the sink or counter. The price seems high for this molded plastic base, but I prefer it over other options I have seen.

    Berkey Base: There are no substitutes

    I just received the base in the mail which came very quickly. There are no substitutes that are suitable to use for a stand. it fits perfectly and allows for the most room around the base. It elevates the Berkey enough to put standard reservoirs underneath. I'm quite pleased with the stand.
